Wesgate is a seasoned professional bringing more than 25 years of managerial experience and success in a variety of industry specializations. She has a “think globally, execute locally” foundation in sales and marketing. Having lived and worked in Tokyo, Japan, she has first-hand international work experience marketing products and services throughout Asia-Pacific.
Wesgate has proven herself as an expert in developing B2B marketing and communication programs utilizing interactive tools in the online space. She has led small and large businesses through the exploration, evaluation and execution of solution driven strategies. Additionally, Wesgate led a GlobCom team recognized for excellence by Carl Zeiss for their 'Modernity.Glamour.Innovation.' Global Awareness Campaign.
Wesgate has worked with such companies as: HP Inc, Mobile Oil Corporation, Ricoh, TYCO International, XEROX Corporation and others. Her positions at the management and executive levels include: business development, design, marketing, product marketing, digital transformation and sales.
Wesgate personally spends time working with non-profits such as: The 14th Hour Foundation, Epilepsy Foundation, Humane Society, Junior League, Make-A-Wish, and Special Operations Wounded Warriors (SOWW).
Dr. Maria Elles Scott has a 21-year career that spans from sports journalism to public relations and consulting before moving full-time into academia in 2009. Currently Scott is a professor of Public Relations at the University of Miami where she teaches writing, design, campaigns and so much more. As a teaching professor, Scott must keep her "toes" in the real-world and has been the owner of a consulting firm for the past nine years.
In her professional career Scott served as the Communications point-of-contact at ESPN for all propriety events. During Scott's time at ESPN she worked the X Games, Winter X Games, ESPY Awards, Action Sports & Music Awards and X Games Global Championships. In 2001 and 2007 Scott was part of the Super Bowl Host Committee in Tampa and South Florida serving as the PR person for two Super Bowl Championships.
Upon opening her own consulting firm, Scott was able to work with Michael Irvin's Playmaker Foundation, the Dwight Stephenson Foundation, SugarTime, Inc. and many others providing serves ranging from graphic design to publicity and management. Scott now transitions from her one-person consulting business to a larger firm with partner Wesgate and the ability to provide a much larger range of services. Additionally, Scott works with other non-profits such as the Jackson Health Foundation, Miami Children's Health Foundation, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Special Olympics.
